Open Foundation Models and the Future of Human Expertise
An English-language public lecture on the challenges generative AI poses, including opaque foundation models, uneven language and cultural coverage, and questions of trust and provenance. It presents open foundation models such as LLM-jp as transparent, reproducible research infrastructure and asks how human expertise can be acquired and passed on as AI becomes an everyday intellectual partner.
